Darius Appiah, the 22-year-old son of a Ghanaian pastor working in the United States, was found dead after going missing for ten days.
On Saturday morning, a search crew discovered Mr Appiah’s lifeless body along Frederiksberg Creek in Virginia.
The terrible development was posted on Facebook by Ghanaian-US-based preacher Kofi Adonteng Boateng, who was part of the search party.
Darius was last seen on Wednesday, January 23, 2024, leaving work at 2:22 p.m. after getting a takeout lunch. An official complaint with the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office states that his phone was turned off an hour later, hampering efforts to find him.
Unfortunately, there has been no sign of him, and his phone was dormant until his lifeless body was discovered, causing great grief for his family.
Darius is the son of Reverend Maxwell Appiah, the lead pastor of Revelation City Church in the United States of America (USA).
The unexplained circumstances surrounding his abduction and eventual finding have left his loved ones deeply saddened.
